SUMMER LEAGUE - NEW MEMBER PAPER WORK
The RIO Salado Swim Club is a
member of the East Valley Swim League. We have designed
a great summer program with a flexible practice schedule and seven meets
against other east valley swim teams that will not occupy your entire day. Your
child will be taught by experienced year-round coaches who offer professional
instruction on stroke technique, starts and turns.
HOW DO I SIGN UP...
New members to the club need to call 480-897-7946 to schedule an
evaluation. Evaluations will be held throughout the entire month of May
by appointment only. Evaluations are performed at
the EVO Swim School
(NW corner of Gilbert and Guadalupe – next to the GoodWill Store). Call
today to schedule your appointment! Returning members of the club (within the last year) can sign up over the phone by calling
480-897-7946.
PRACTICE TIMES & LOCATIONS...
All practices will be held in the evening at the Chandler High School Aquatic
Complex. Junior 1, Junior 2, and High School Group swimmers can pick any
three of the five practices offered each week. Beginner Group swimmers
must pick three of the four practices. For practice times
at EVO Swim School in Gilbert please call 480-539-2660.
TEAM APPAREL AND
TRAINING EQUIPMENT…
Each participant must have the following: (1) RIO team suit, (2)
RIO team cap, (3) fins for every practice, (4) kickboard for every practice.

SWIM MEET ENTRY PROCEDURE…
You will be electronically "deck entered" at all home meets.
Your coach will direct you on which races you will be entered in for away
meets. Meet fees are pre-paid with your league dues.

PRACTICES AND/OR MEETS MANDATORY?
No.
If you need to miss a practice or a meet just keep your coach informed of your
plans.

TRAINING GROUP REQUIREMENTS...
Beginner Group -
can display freestyle with side
breathing
and backstroke
Junior 1 Group - can display a flip turn and swim all four strokes by
legal standards
Junior 2 Group - must be proficient in all four strokes
High School Group - must be of high school age and know the
basics of all four strokes
