Rio Salado Swim Club is a
non-profit 501 (C)(3) organization. On occasion club members secure
tax deductible donations from outside sources or participate in
fundraisers. All funds of this nature can be earmarked for your
child’s swimming related expenses. This money becomes the
possession of the club but is managed through your personal club
account and can be used for any swimming related expense.
Below are some ways you and boost your fundraising account.
CLUB
ADVERTISING
RIO members can benefit from all forms of
advertising sold on behalf of the team. There are various
advertising and sponsorship packages available. Below are links to
the various forms available for you to promote.
30% of the net advertising proceeds you are
responsible for will be applied to your personal fundraising
account. Take advantage of this great opportunity to raise funds
for both you and the club!
Scrip &
E-Scrip
Get a percentage
back to your fundraising account by participating in our grocery
scrip programs.
If you are interested in signing up for the various scrip programs
please contact us for more details.
Bashas’ is back with a new scrip program called " Bashas Shop
Local & Give Local" program. Just link your "thank you" card at
any Bashas store or go to www.bashas.com/charity. MAKE SURE
YOU USE GROUP #29284 to get 1% back on all purchases to
your RIO fundraising account.
Fry’s gift cards can be purchased at the RIO
office for $5. Just reload this card at any Fry’s store
and make your purchases with the card. Between 4% and 6% cash
back will be awarded to your RIO fundraising account. The
more our team purchases on a whole, the more cash back is
awarded.
Safeway sign ups can be done by
contacting the RIO office.
United Way Contributions
United Way kicks off their campaign during the month of
October. Numerous businesses have made arrangements with
United Way to allow their employees to designate a specific 501 c 3
organization to be the recipient of their donation. Rio
Salado Swim Club is a 501 c 3 organization and is eligible to
receive United Way donations. Although Rio is not yet been
given an organization recipient number from United Way, if you
would like to have your United Way donation given to Rio Salado
Swim Club, please write our organization name, address (868
N. Gilbert Rd. Suite 100, Gilbert, AZ ), phone number
(480-897-7946) in the designated agency spot on your United Way
donation form at your place of employment. United Way will
contact Rio to verify our non-profit status and then forward the
funds to Rio within several months of the close of the
campaign. Your United Way donation, when received by Rio
Salado Swim Club, can be used dollar for dollar to offset your
fundraising requirement for the club. Intel Corporation
allows their employees to designate specific 501 c 3
organizations. Intel matches your donation which goes to
United way and 100% of your donation will go directly to the
Rio Salado Swim Club. In turn our club will apply that amount
to your fundraising account which can be used to help support your
child’s swimming endeavors. You can check with your
United Way coordinator at your place of business for additional
instructions specific to your situation. Please consider
designating your United Way contribution to Rio Salado Swim
Club.
